PRODUCT & WORKFLOW GUIDE
Inventory records for one-of-a-kind resale items
Two chairs can look alike and still have different owners, condition and sale terms. Resale inventory works best when each individual piece has an identity that the counter team can follow from intake to sale.
Record the details that distinguish the piece
ResaleHQ supports a unique SKU, category, condition and consignment end date for each item. Connect the item to the right consignor or vendor record so the ownership information stays with the stock.
Before entering a batch, agree on a consistent approach to categories and condition notes. For example, describe a scratch or missing accessory clearly enough that another employee can identify it without repeating intake.
Set a clear markdown decision
The current workspace supports one scheduled markdown. Record the intended price change and date as part of the item’s selling plan. A consignment end date gives the team a separate reference for reviewing unsold pieces.
A scheduled markdown is not a complete automated pricing strategy. Review the agreed owner terms and avoid promising a sequence of automatic reductions that the current release does not support.
Know the current boundaries
Invoice checkout connects an item’s sale to its owner accounting. If a refund occurs, owner balances adjust proportionally, but the item is not automatically restocked. Review the physical item and inventory state together.
Barcode labels, photo-assisted intake and online-store synchronization are planned additions. The current launch should be assessed around item records and connected checkout rather than those future features.
